Which of your products is vegan?
Our Quinoa and Pecan and Hearty Cacao are both vegan friendly products.
We use Grade A maple syrup or coconut nectar syrup to sweeten them.
Is your packaging recyclable?
Yes we thought long and hard about the best solution and spoke with those in the know like our local Refill Pantry shop friends about all the pros and cons of compostable vs recyclable.
We opted for cardboard boxes, and a recyclable plastic barrier. The bag can be popped into carrier bag recycling- if your council does not offer this they can be found at most supermarkets.
Who are the Bee Friendly Trust?
The Bee Friendly Trust Charity are passionate about Bee conservation, they run educational workshops on Bees and create many planters around the country to provide Bee and Polinator friendly plants in unsued spots like end of railway platforms. Enhancing environments for all at the same time
It’s the really hands on approach that made us want to support their work – with proceeds from every sale of granola going to them.
Do you do a keto product?
No, however we make a Paleo Granola which is low carb and not too sweet– a delicious mix of Almonds, Pecans, Hazlenuts, cashews, hemp, Chia, Sunflower, Coconut oil and honey.
Where do you source your honey from?
We get our honey from British Firm – Hilltop Honey- and we buy local honey for our Paleo Granola.
What is cold pressed oil?
The cold Pressed extra virgin Rapeseed oil we buy from Chiltern cold pressed, a gorgeous rich oil, the seeds are harvested, dried then squeezed through traditional style rollers to extract the omega 3, 6 and 9 rich oil.
Also this oil is a great source of vitamin E and monounsaturated fat- which help protect heart health by maintaining levels of good HDL cholesterol, while reducing levels of bad LDL Cholestorol, and boasts the lowest saturated fat level of any oil.
Are your gluten free oats processed separately?
Yes our oats are sourced from a UK oat grower who ensures the oats are grown and harvested separately to wheat crops.
Why is Dizzy Bee more pricey than supermarket equivalents?
We source what we believe to be the best quality ingredients in order to produce a great taste and texture. There is simply no skimping, no cheap vegetable oil or refined sugar, lots of the ingredients that are all good for you- seeds, nuts, grains. We are also made in really small slow food way – mixed and toasted by hand – it all takes more time but we feel its worth it as we can make a better product, and that is the most important factor to us-… that you enjoy and it makes you feel good .
